Robertson’s undeniable strength is his characterisation. He skilfully makes his characters vivid and believable and in turn this makes the reader lose themselves completely in the story, experiencing a range of emotions.
You’ll need plenty of tissues for this one: a heartbreaking tale of love, grief and devotion. 5/5
